SENIOR ARCHITECT

Meadors Inc. has an opening for a licensed and registered architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our architecture staff. Meadors is a design-build firm located in Charleston, SC that specializes in custom high-end residential and light commercial work. We focus on both historic preservations/restoration and new construction. Performing both architecture and construction for our projects is our primary project focus. However, we have several clients where we only perform architecture and then work with other contractors to complete the work. It is the diversity of our employees, clients, and projects that makes Meadors such a unique collaborative environment.

In addition to typical responsibilities required of a licensed and registered architect, interested applicants must show great team leadership, teamwork mentality, and be able to work closely with our clients to listen, respond, and exceed expectations. Candidates must be proficient in Revit, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and personally driven to consistently meet project design and performance goals. Ability to work independently and with a team, while coordinating with the various workshops within Meadors and with Meadors’ consultants and subcontractors is a must.

In addition to the typical job application submission of providing a cover letter, resume, and portfolio, interested candidates are encouraged to visit www.meadorsinc.com and research the company structure, projects, and people. We are not looking for the typical candidate, but rather we’re looking for the best fit, the person that can come in and immediately be a contributing team player that buys in to the Meadors philosophy and workshop structure. Interested candidates are encouraged to put more emphasis on the cover letter to describe their experience and how their experience uniquely positions them as the top candidate to work with Meadors and their collaborative workshop teams. It should be evident in the cover letter that the interested applicant has an understanding of Meadors and be able to describe how they fit into the Meadors team.

If you are interested in joining the Meadors team, please send your in-depth focused cover letter, along with your resume and portfolio or link to an online portfolio to the attention of Christine Bozigar via email: christine@meadorsinc.com or careers@meadorsinc.com.
