Our story
For over 30 years, Meadors has been committed to the architectural integrity and charm of the South’s historic structures by faithfully restoring and recreating the architecture for future generations. Led by James Meadors, our team of architects, artisans, and craftspeople, using traditional techniques and aided by the latest technologies have been able to create lasting and beautiful structures here in Charleston, and throughout the Southeast.
Meadors has focused its efforts on creating an environment where talented, passionate, and dedicated men and women can apply their skills to the architectural and construction processes in residential, commercial, and institutional building.
By forming a nexus between architects, conservators, designers, craftspeople, and the
latest technology, our company has been able to further its founding philosophy of preserving the heritage and durability of traditional building techniques, materials, and design; while also maintaining a commitment to sustainability and efficiency. Our understanding of historic restoration uniquely informs our design and building processes, as longevity and durability systematically become part of the work we do.
